National Coal Mining Museum

Travel 140 metres underground as you discover a hidden world of coal with a local
miner as your guide. Models and machinery depict methods of mining from the early
1880s to present day. A 17 acre rural site.
The temperature underground is 12 degrees Celcius. We strongly recommend warm
clothing and flat heeled shoes.
