The Museum is located on the A40, at Abergwili, approximately one mile east of
Carmarthen.
The museum of Carmarthenshire’s past. Displays include Roman gold, Welsh
furniture, a school room plus life on a small farm.
Discover mammoth bones from Croygan Cave, near Laugharne; Stone Age axes,
Roman gold and gravestones from the time of King Arthur.
Once the Palace of the Bishops of St. Davids, visitors can still see its tranquil,
private chapel.
Take a walk around the grounds or picnic in delightful the parkland, and see
the Bishop’s Pond.
The Carmarthen County Museum is free and open all year round.

A unique opportunity to see how tinplate was made by hand. The original tinplate
works are set in pretty countryside. Other exhibits show Carmarthenshire’s
industrial past.

Explore the history of Pendine’s ‘Sands of Speed’ in a dramatic
new building, overlooking the beach. MAP
At the heart of Pendine’s Museum of Speed is the area’s past as
a centre for attempts on the land speed record, most notably when it was broken
in 1924 by Malcolm Campbell in his V12 Sunbeam Bluebird at an average speed of
146.163 mph.

Parc Howard Museum and Art Gallery,

Explore Llanelli’s past in the former Parc Howard mansion, a historic building, built by the Buckley brewing family in 1885, set in a delightful civic park. MAP
The displays include a superb collection of Llanelly pottery and local paintings. The house has links to the heritage of the Methodist Church.
