Museum of Abernethy, School Wynd, Abernethy, Perthshire PH2 9JJ
There is a core exhibition relating to the historic Round Tower and the Pictish history of the Abernethy area.
Abernethy's highly acclaimed Millennium quilt is also on permanent display. Other displays in the Museum are changed regularly, with many of them focusing on life in Abernethy in more recent times. There is also a children's activities corner based on current displays.

Abernethy Round Tower, Abernethy,
Perth and Kinross
Situated 8mi (13km) south-east of Perth. One of Scotland's two surviving Irish-style round towers (the other is at Brechin, Angus; both are in the care of Historic Scotland). Dating from the end of the 11th century. Located in the village off the A913; east of the Bridge of Earn. Grid reference - 58 NO 192 163 - MAP.
It is 15ft in diameter at its base and 74ft high.
A Pictish symbol stone can be found at the foot of the tower. The stone dates back to around AD600.
Good views of the Firth of Tay which is very important area for birds, especially wintering wildfowl and waders.

Access is a high metal spiral stair.

Queen's View Centre is in Allean which is part of Tay Forest Park.

The Forestry Commission is the largest land manager in Britain and the biggest provider of outdoor recreation.
Recommended picnic spot! Picnic at tables scattered through well-kept grounds at this is a stunning viewpoint, very popular with visitors of all kinds arriving by car, coach, bike and, for the hardy, on foot. There is an audio-visual presentation and an exhibition. It is a large (50+) but often busy (chargeable) car park.
