Green's Mill

The 200 year old Windmill is a Grade 2 Listed building and one of the few working inner city windmills in Britain. It was once home to the 19th century miller, George Green. Tour the mill and discover the process of turning grain into flour, just as George Green the miller would have done two centuries ago.
George Green was a mathematical genius and he developed a new form of mathematics which has helped scientists to understand the world around us.

Museum of Costume and Textiles

Travel through time at the Museum of Costume and Textiles. A row of elegant Georgian houses originally owned by a high Sheriff of Nottinghamshire. Six atmospheric period rooms show changes in taste, furniture and interior decoration from 1790 to 1935 and provide the background for figures in original clothes from 1760 to 1965.

A family-run business engaged in the production of wildflower seeds, plants, native trees and shrubs. The farm and visitors centre has 40 acres of wildflower crops grown for seed, wildlife hedgerows totalling a mile in length and a wildflower garden comprising different habitats, demonstrating wildflower and cottage garden plants to provide ideas to take home. A pleasant cabin provides an attractive sales area and tasteful tearoom serving home-made fare. There is a woodland walk, large dragonfly pond, picnic area and a one-acre wetland meadow.
