Carnfunnock Country Park

Over 470 acres of woodland, colourful gardens, ponds, walking trails, beaches and coastline, not forgetting its spectacular panoramic views of the Antrim Coast. The Park includes a Walled Garden, Icehouse and the Lime Kilns. More modern additions include an adventure playground, miniature railway and a maze in the shape of Northern Ireland

Giant's Causeway

The park is dissected by two small rivers with spectacular waterfalls, tranquil pools and stretches of fast flowing water tumbling through rocky gorges. There is an exhibition centre. Four way-marked trails of varying length (1-9 Km) wind through the forest leading to some of the Park's most beautiful wooden areas. One follows the Glenariff River with its famous waterfalls and passes through the National Nature Reserve.

Rathlin Island
RSPB , Offshore from Ballycastle

Six miles off the north Antrim Causeway Coast lies Rathlin Island Causeway coast. The spectacular cliffs come alive with seabirds from late April to early August. You can get a full sense of their numbers from the RSPB vantage point on the West Lighthouse which is on the cliff face. Birds seen will include breeding puffins, guillemots, razorbills, kittiwakes and fulmars. Shelter from the elements is minimal - warm, waterproof clothing is a must. Toilets or refreshment facilities do not exist at the viewpoint as yet, but full amenities can be found at the nearby harbour.
