The Hill of Tara (Irish Temair na Rí, "Hill of the Kings"), located near the River Boyne.
From Dublin take the N3 North, about six kilometres after Dunshaughlin take a sign-posted left turn, at the end is a T-Junction, take a right turn here Tara is about half a mile down this road on your left.
The Hill of Tara (Irish Temair na Rí, "Hill of the Kings"), located near the River Boyne, is a huge ancient site with historical and mythical connections, an archaeological complex that runs between Navan and Dunshaughlin in County Meath, Leinster, Ireland. It contains a number of ancient monuments, and, according to tradition, was the seat of Árd Rí na hÉireann, or the High King of Ireland.
Visitors will not find any huge structures or monuments here, instead a landscaped area of stupendous proportions!

The Loughcrew Cairns (AKA the Hills of the Witch), Corstown, Oldcastle, Co. Meath
Located 3km east of Oldcastle. off R163, about 80km north-west of Dublin, the Loughcrew Cairns, also known as the Hills of the Witch, are a group of Neolithic passage tombs dating to 3000 BC.
The tombs are located on three different hills and Cairn T, one of the largest tombs in the complex, is situated on Cairnbane East. Inside this tomb lies a cruciform chamber, a corbelled roof and some of the most beautiful examples of Neolithic art in Ireland.
During the Vernal and Autumn Equinox people gather at dawn in Cairn T to watch sunlight enter the chamber and illuminate the inside of the tomb.
Guides will always be in attendance while visitors go inside the tomb. The climb to Cairn T is very steep and visitors are asked to wear suitable footwear and to be carfeful. There is no access for visitors in wheelchairs.
There are no toilet facilities
