Mullaghmore Beach, Carrick-on-Shannon, Co. Leitrim
A noted holiday destination, characterised by a skyline dominated by the monolithic shape of the mountain Ben Bulben. Mullaghmore Beach is a blue flag Beach located in North County Sligo, in the seaside town of Mullaghmore, just 25km from Sligo town via the N15.
A sandy beach with good access which can boast a backdrop of small hilly sand dunes.
This beach is very safe and has life guards on duty daily during the bathing season.
Mullaghmore is also known as one of the best Big Wave Surfing locations in the world.
